Betula platyphylla 'Fargo'

Introduction from North Dakota. Spire-like tree with pointy golden-yellow fall foliage and smooth white bark with age. Heat, drought and insect resistant; higher alkaline tolerance and hardiness than the species. Prune only in full-leaf as needed.

Very unique birch that won't have the same problems that the weeping birch and paper birch are going through with drought patterns. Very tight, dense growth. Great for small front yards or backyard hedges for privacy.
