A phenomenal and hardy prairie developed Sugar Maple that is the quintessential Canadian tree which produces maple syrup when mature. This large tree was released by Jeffries Nurseries in Manitoba and carries a zone 2a hardiness rating which makes it hardy for most of the prairies!

The tree grows at a medium rate and creates very large hand sized maple leaves that turn one of the most brilliant red and orange fall colors which are unique combinations every year. Typically you will see the tree color up between mid September and early October. It is the perfect choice for a medium or large sized front/back yard or in a park. Give it room to grow and make sure it is watered when going through periods of drought especially when young. It will benefit from a thick layer of mulch around its roots.
