Quercus rubra borealis maxima

Native oak to Eastern Canada. Lobed foliage with pointy ends turns brick-red in fall. With age, large acorns develop in summer and smooth, brown bark develops fissures and darkens. Straight trunk and irregular, rounded canopy. Tolerates pollution and dry or acidic soils.
