Huge needles vs all other pines in Alberta. Exotic looking, large native upright tree with long needles, large cones and furrowed orange-brown bark. Use for mass plantings, shelterbelts. Seeds collected at the Brooks Research Station. Hardy for Alberta climate. Great alternative to the overused Lodgepole and Scots Pines.
