Picea glauca

Large, extremely hardy, N. American native spruce with short green needles. New reddish seed cones mature to light brown. Plants used for naturalization, shelterbelts and large areas. Drought tolerant once established in a slightly acidic, moist, well-drained soil. Can grow up to 100ft or taller when planted close to other spruce in a tight row.
